I’m a huge smoothie fan. I really think that they are one of the best ways to begin your day – so filling, satisfying and energising, not to mention totally delicious! They’re so easy too, you simply throw everything together in the blender and two minutes later you have the healthiest on-the-go breakfast! Not to mention that there is very little washing up, so there is really no excuse not to make one.
I like to make sure that my smoothies contain everything you need to keep you going. This one is loaded with fibre and vitamin C, it has almonds and hempseed for protein, almonds also provide good fats and the cranberries provide some natural sweetness – no processed foods here! This smoothie is my new favourite breakfast of the moment.
A sprinkle of chia seeds (optional)
Put all the ingredients in a high speed blender and whizz until smooth. Serve immediately with a sprinkle of chia seeds.
