My Friday review of Arbonne's reformulated Smoothed Over Lipsticks. This summer, it’s all about bright lips and flawless skin with a flush of radiant colour so Arbonne has created a great lineup of new products and trendy pigments to enhance the complexion. If you’re not familiar with Arbonne, here’s a condensed backstory: it’s a green, vegan, cruelty-free company with Swiss heritage. It was created in 1975 by Petter Mørck in tandem with biologists, herbalists, and biochemists with a vision of providing clean, effective, safe botanical-based ingredients. The entire range of lipsticks have recently been redesigned and reformulated to provide even more nourishment and hydration. The new blend contains beneficial oils and fruit extracts to keep skin supple and healthy while drenching lips in lush, buttery colour. The lipsticks are now thicker in diameter with a larger application surface that helps the glossy texture glide on easily and the finishes range from satiny-shine to radiant shimmer. The colour intensity varies by shade but overall the formula delivers a sheer to medium coverage with the ability to be intensified and layered for more vibrancy. The new additions to the range include red, pink and coral tones are perfect for the season and offer just enough illumination and shine to create a voluminous effect. I have tried most of these colours - the lighter ones don't work for me at all, but that is just down to my colouring. My favourites are: Zinnia and Gladiola, which are both new colours this season and Aster and Lotus from the original range of colours.
What I love about these lipsticks is that my lips feel so moisturised! I was blown away by the fact that a non-matte lipstick has such amazing staying power. It has the ability to stay on after I eat a meal. That saying - it will not last all day long and you will need to reapply - but that's lipstick for you ! The thing that i love the most is that Arbonne offers clean cosmetics that are 100% vegan. I love their ethics and I think that is so important in this day and age. Have you tried Arbonne cosmetics before ? What are your thoughts on this brand? Emma x
