Dry skin is one of my least favourite things. It has the ability to make your makeup look cakey and weird. The skin flakes off and the texture just isn’t as smooth. It can also lead to premature aging in the form of lines, wrinkles and lack of plumpness, and quite frankly - who wants that? The ultimate thing that you can do for your skin is to keep it hydrated. It’s fairly logical that the more water you give your skin, the plumper it will be. Imagine that your skin is grape. When a grape doesn’t receive water anymore? It shrivels up and turns into a prune - the same happens to your skin. When it comes to keeping skin hydrated and plump, one of my favourite ingredients is Hyaluronic Acid. It helps to store water under your skin. please don't be afraid of this ingredient because it is an acid, because it isn't an aggressive acid. Here are some of my favourite products that contain this amazingly youthful ingredient: Mun’s Anarose Hydrating Rose Toner I like to keep something hydrating to spray on my face every so often. Mun’s Anarose Hydrating Rose Toner is my current favourite. The smell is beautiful, but not cloying as some rose products can be. It’s really cooling and helps to balance the skin’s pH, aka calm the skin. It’s made with Hyaluronic Acid and natural Salicylic Acid, which remove dead cells for that healthy G-L-O-W. I realise this product is on the pricey side for a toner - so my other go-to would be: Pixi Vitamin Wakeup Mist This is a lovely treat for tired skin. The Vitamin Wakeup Mist will invigorate your lacklustre complexion - infusing skin with nutrients to counteract fatigue and dispel tell-tale signs of dullness. It has a refreshing citrus scent that instantly enlivens - just spritz whenever your skin needs a pick-me-up. Fountain: The Hyaluronic Molecule Drink your way to better skin? This supplement, from one of my favourite beauty companies, Deciem, is your ticket, in the form of a daily shot. This formula is packed with Hyaluronic Acid that holds 1000 times its weight in water to plump your complexion, brighten your eyes and keep the body lubricated. Su-Man: Velvet Skin Moisturising Cream Applying this cream feels like diving spoon first into a calorific pudding, only to learn that it's totally fat free (rejoice)! Ultra nourishing with a featherweight texture this behaves like a thin skin care 'top coat' - amplifying the anti-ageing effects of the previous layers, whilst creating a protective 'force field' that wards off the attack from free radicals. This fabulous cream leaves your skin feeling plumped, rosy, radiant and perfectly primed for your makeup. Tata Harper Moisturising Mask I like this mask because you can sleep in it - which makes it super easy to use, and doesn't mean having the time to hang around whilst it does its stuff! Plus, no hydrating list is complete without Tata. This rose-scented master is saturated with hyaluronic acid to replenish dehydrated skin. It also helps your skin lock in moisture in the future, so you can develop that lit-from-within glow. Farmacy: Eye Dew PHARMACY are somewhat of a skin phenomenon, pioneering the 'farm-to-face' philosophy. Growing and cultivating ingredients themselves, which are then activated in their labs for maximum potency. This firming and brightening Eye Dew Total Eye Cream is no exception - it works to boost hydration and helps to brighten and illuminate tired eyes. Do you have any favourite products packed with Hyaluronic Acid? Please share as I love trying new things.
