I've been using this for a few weeks now, so am ready to review! So, I'm a little late to the party for this one, It Cosmetics' have been around for a while, but I just haven't got around to trying their products until now. They have 3 CC creams on offer, original, Matte and Illumination. The original quickly became one of the brand's cult products thanks to its high coverage and hydrating formula. But I decided to jump in and try the Illumination version, because quite frankly, who doesn't want glowing skin without the shimmer or shine.
I chose the shade 'Light Medium', which was the closest match for my complexion. I did find the range of shades on offer rather limited - which is a common gripe and hopefully one that they will address in time. However, I'm a sucker for a pump bottle, because it means I can dispense product straight onto my beauty blender or fingers and I was a fan of the metallic pink tube, too. as it looks pretty! (superficial, yes!) I found the application to be smooth, and the texture is really creamy and feels very luxurious on the skin. Be warned, a little goes a long way in terms of coverage, so pump carefully. I would say you get a medium coverage with just one swipe, but it can easily be built up to a fuller coverage if layered over troubling areas. I did still use concealer for under my eyes (Charlotte Tilbury, Magic away concealer is my favourite at the moment), but I didn't need it anywhere else. Overall, my skin looks fresh and healthy, but not too made up. This foundation leaves my skin looking dewy with a bit of sheen but nothing overly offensive in the shimmer stakes. In my opinion the CC Cream Illumination does an amazing job covering up discoloration and redness, and together with the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores powder, it will make it look like your skin has been airbrushed! The powder makes a big difference in pore size, and definitely improves the wear time of the foundation. I've read other bloggers reviews where they recommend that you wear the CC Cream over a primer, but, personally I think it looks better without a primer. The CC Cream actually has its own primer already built in, plus Anti-Aging Hydrating Serum. I’ve found that if I layer a primer underneath it, it tends to sit on top of the skin a little more, and look far less natural. I recommend spraying your face with Limelife Time Setter because it extends the wear time of the It Cosmetics CC Cream. I normally would only use a setting spray for a a special event, like your wedding, but it really makes a difference in keeping your makeup on, now I never leave home without a quick spritz. Overtime I will be adding this into my kit because I was really impressed and think it will be perfect for my future brides. Have you tried any of IT Cometics CC Creams? I would love to know your thoughts. Emma x

We all need sun protection. Skin cancers are getting real lately. Our ozone layer is depleting and I heard there's nothing we can do about it anymore but just adapt. I have been guilty of not taking care of my skin for the longest time. I guess it's a habit we need to develop as early as twelve. It's sad that my own mother never made an effort to get me interested in these. She is full of bitterness I think. She just kept saying I have a natural bad skin color and I got it from my father and their family. It's always a war of which side of the family is better and maybe the stress took its toll on my skin.
