My Friday review on LA Girl HD Pro BB Cream.
Trying to find great quality makeup that doesn't cost the world is always a challenge - especially when your criteria also needs to include cruelty free and as toxin free as possible too.
BB Creams have been big on the Beauty Scene for quite some time now. The concept of of the BB cream is one I love, since they are promoted as an all-in-one facial cosmetic product which in theory replaces your serum, moisturiser, primer, foundation and sunblock. We are all time-poor so this in theory is the ultimate product. I have tried 100s of these products and to be honest to date I haven't been impressed, however I'm happy to say that LA Girl is changing my view.
The Sales Blurb: HD PRO BB Cream is formulated without parabens and made fragrance-free to pamper sensitive skin and lavishly nourish skin with added Vitamin B3, C and E. The silky formula covers a wide range of skin tones with eight diverse shades. This is your all-in-one skin beautifier that primes, moisturises and enhances skin tone.
The product has a liquid consistency, it is light but not super runny. It spreads really well and gives a relatively high coverage, almost like some foundations I have tried. Since its easy to spread you can use your fingers but I use my beauty blender which I think gives a flawless finish.
I like that this BB cream is fragrance free. There are 8 shades to choose from, I went the light medium which was perfect for me. It gives a dewy finish, which I personally love. But if you prefer a matte finish I would suggest using a finishing powder. My favourite is Lily Lolo's in Flawless Matte . The product claims to be moisturising but I think that the finish is far better when you prep your skin with a moisturiser prior to application. It wears for a good 5-7 hours and does not crease when set with a powder.
I'm seriously impressed with this product. especially for the price, £5.99. I think that this offers excellent quality and great results. I am going to be trying out their other products. Let me know if you have tried any L.A Girl products and how has your experience been with them.
