LimeLife by Alcone - Perfect Foundation

#Fact.... Foundation is important.  If your base looks amazing then the rest of your makeup will do too.    Likewise if your base looks bad - your entire makeup will not look at its best.  Finding the perfect foundation cannot be underestimated - and its also surprisingly difficult to find the perfect one.  So on my quest to find one that I would be happy to loyal to I have been trying Perfect Foundation - Limelife by Alcone.  The fact that this has the chutzpah to call itself Perfect I was expecting good things!
Prior to trying this I always gravitated towards lighter liquid foundations like Charlotte Tilbury's Light Wonder (which I still love) or Delilah's Time Frame Future Resist Foundation.  I would always be very wary of using a wax based foundation.  But having used it on both myself and clients over the last few weeks I have completely changed my mind, and I think I might even go far as saying that this is my new favourite foundation.

I've been a fan of Cult Makup Artist favourite, RCMA Foundations in the past, and this paraben-free formula has been developed by RCMA specially for LimeLife by Alcone.  If you haven't heard of them before RCMA, The Research Council of Makeup Artist, foundations have been used by makeup artists for thousands of celebrities including Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian and Blake Lively.  The reason is that they are a MUAs staple is because they can be matched to every skin tone from the lightest fair to the deepest darkest tone.

It contains only vegetable oils, pure waxes, and FDA approved colours.  It does not contain any animal product ingredients, perfume, lanolin, petroleum or mineral oil.  The first 2 can be absorbed by the skin and the last 2 sit on the skin causing excess oiliness and prevent the skin from doing its job of excreting toxins from the body.

LimeLife by Alcone Perfect Foundations come in a diverse, realistic range of foundation in two sets - Light and Dark, or about 16 shades.  For those of you who aren't familiar with the shade breakdowns, Shinto refers to more yellow based foundations Olive to more pink based foundations and MB refers to more red-based.  The foundations are very versatile because as a cream you can wear it full coverage or sheer it down to a liquid for light coverage - many MUAs prefer cream foundations for these reasons.   Most commercial foundations have a ratio of about 18-23% of pigment to the liquid, but this one has at least 50% pigments to waxes and oils so this means a little foundation goes a very long way.   Also I've found that this foundation lasts better throughout a long day than comparable commercial foundations and requires less touch-ups - which is a big tick in my book.

One of the issues I find several people have is choosing the best foundation colour for their skin tone, but I have a fool proof one here - I've yet to see it make a mistake.  Click here to find your ideal shade: https://www.qzzr.com/c/quiz/169699/a90ab5c0-ffc0-40fa-a4ba-56a325b3e4b9  I'm Olive 1 in winter and Olive 2 in summer - although with this fabulous weather in the UK I may need to go another shade darker at some point.

Another great thing is if you do purchase a foundation (or in fact any of the LimeLife products) you have 30 days to return and either exchange or get a no quibble refund.  Now, please tell me another makeup brand that will do that?  I can't tell you the amount of times I've bought the wrong shade and then been stuck with it.

The main reason why you should buy this foundation is because once it has been applied and blended into the skin, it looks like a second skin, not a foundation layer.  I'm finding that that all my clients are absolutely blown away by the finish of this Perfect Foundation.  The texture, the colours, the wear, the finish the EVERYTHING is like real skin.  I can't stress this enough.  It's so long wearing and doesn't cake or separate.

If you have dry to very dry skin, you will need to prep the skin very well.  I find that
Dew Date is the perfect partner - just massage 1 to 2 drops on to your face prior to applying the foundation. Or if you have normal skin then a drop of Dew Date will create the perfect dewy finish, that everyone is desperate for at the moment.

It's hard to find the perfect color that will match my skin. I have what they call an orange type. It is different from the pink type which is easier. Any kind of powder will do. Most of the products they manufacture are for the pink type. They look good on red lipstick. Me, I will look hideous. Only almond colors will suite me. Whenever I visit a cosmetic store, I am always delighted whenever I speak with anyone who knows what I am talking about here. The perfect almond shade can really highlight my skin. It makes it look lively and it blends well.

How come nobody warned us that life would be like this. Sure we all heard someone mention once in a while that we would all soon lose that feminine glow as early in our twenties but we all didn't expect it's going to happen to us. Maybe at the back of our head we thought we are special. It could be that or maybe we are just too lazy to take care of ourselves. I guess it's a habit that needed to be developed at an early age. Maybe the question should be "why we didn't do anything" and not "how come nobody warned us."

Yesterday was kind of special. I am not sure. Maybe to everyone else or to her it's just an ordinary day. But I do my usual routine. I don't know why I keep doing all these things for her and for the weirdest of reasons, she did something that will benefit me. I am not even sure if she did it for me but maybe she really is the kind of person I think she is and even if she wasn't really doing it for me, I felt happy for a moment. She kept calling my name. I thought she was just fine mannered and very different from me and because of that, I thought maybe I am beginning to love her more.

It's always improper to give unsolicited advice. One does not get financial advice from someone who is broke. One does not give health advice if he is sick and dying. Clearly he may have learned unintentionally where he may have gone wrong but it's better to listen to someone who is successful in maintaining himself. Maybe it's not right to be overly judgemental though. People may have their own reasons why they fail but again it's better to learn from real winners.

I am a make up artist and I know It is complicated job. It can harmful for some skin types sometimes. Herbal and genuine products should be use when making base for skin . Some care should be taken while doing make up.
