My Top 8 Bridal Lipsticks

Choosing the right lipstick for your wedding day makeup can be difficult.  I often find this is the most time consuming part of a a bridal trial, as slight changes in lipstick colours can significantly alter how the makeup looks as a whole.
Below are my top 8 bridal lipsticks which are suitable for warm and cool skin tones.

Charlotte Tilbury, Stoned Rose Lipstick
This is my favourite Charlotte Tilbury lipstick for bridal makeup and is my most used lipstick in my makeup collection.  It’s a nude shade with a tawny brown undertone which is great paired with a bronze/gold smokey eye. This lipstick is flattering on warmer skin tones and gives a glossy finish.

Dr Paw Paw, Tinted Peach Pink Balm
Some of my brides hate the feeling of lipstick so I often suggest this product. It’s a pale, cool toned peachy pink shade with high and is semi-sheer.  I find that this product is great for brides who want a ‘no makeup’ makeup look.

LimeLife By Alcone, Perfect Lipstick in Prim and Proper
This lipstick is cool toned with a plummy/pink undertone. It has sheer coverage, but actually has pretty good staying power. It’s  perfect for bridal makeup.

Charlotte Tilbury, Pillow Talk
This is Charlotte's cult classic lipstick, and with good reason. This is a nude pink, matte lipstick, and the colour will enhance the natural hue of your lips, so you can cheat a perfect pout in seconds.

Axiology, Devotion

Axiology's lipsticks are 100% natural and vegan, but that doesn't mean that they are any less effective.  The formula is so soft and creamy.  You will definitely need to reapply throughout the day, but it will worth it for the gorgeous golden sheen that this lipstick gives.

Hourglass, Opaque Rouge Lipstick in Edition
I love this formula because it is moisturising and will last through every kiss (and, more importantly, glass of champagne).  It is a really lightweight formula that is highly pigmented and the emollients will help to soften and smooth the lips and won't flake, like so many matte lipsticks do.

Kat Von D, Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolitta II
As with all this range, this is a bold terracotta nude colour.  But, if you aren't into the slick finish of a glossy top coat, then you should consider this liquid matte.  The colour is bold and the formula is packed with nourishing vitamin E and boasts a lightweight texture that never feels cakey on lips.

LimeLife By Alcone, Enduring Lip Colour in Wedding Cake
This is a really user-friendly shade as unlike most matte liquid lipsticks, it contains some shimmer and isn't completely opaque.  I find that this works fabulously for my brides over 30.
