This is a delicious smoothie, and would make a great start to the day if you are on a weight-loss kick as it is fairly low in calories, around 180 per serving. With a dash of sharpness from the lime, and with the richness from the almond milk, this smoothie is high in health-giving foods. A thick texture can be achieved by freezing the frozen banana and blending it with the avocado for added enrichment and protein. If you don’t have a frozen banana, just through in a couple of ice cubes. To make this delicious smoothie even more indulgent you could pour in 1 teaspoon of melted cacao butter.
Ingredients 1 small banana 1/4 small avocado 1 lime, peeled 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 tsp. barley grass powder 1 tsp. raw honey 250ml unsweetened almond milk
