Pink grapefruit contains high levels of vitamin C, cucumber floods the body with anti-inflammatory properties and rose soothes the body on a cellular level. The antioxidants in this smoothie will fuel you for days, brightening your skin and your spirit - plus it tastes absolutely yummy. Ingredients
3 small pink grapefruits, or 2 large 5-inch piece of cucumber, peeled and chopped 1/4 tsp. rose water 5 ice cubes Stevia or maple syrup to taste *Make it into a cocktail - add a measure of vodka or gin* Remove the skin, seeds and membranes of the grapefruits - you should end up with about 2 cups of peeled grapefruit slices. Starting with the grapefruit, place the cucumber, rose water, ice, sweetener (and gin/vodka if making a cocktail) in to a blender. Bend on high speed until fully mixed. Taste and add more rose water if desired. If it tastes slightly bitter you can add a few drops of stevia or 1/2 tsp. maple syrup - blend to mix and serve over ice.
