My Winter Skin Smoothie

I don't know about you, but I find that the winter weather has a tendency to leave my complexion feeling dull, dry, and rather annoyingly a little prone to breakouts. Along with changing my skincare routine, I also make it a point to regularly whip up this delicious smoothie to hydrate and nourish my skin from the inside. No amount of creams and serums can have the huge effect that drinking this does. If I drink it four days in a row, by the fifth day, I can, honestly, see a major difference in the look and feel of my skin. It’s clearer, brighter and considerably less dry.

All you need is a blender and a few of the veggies / fruits listed below.  This smoothie is jam-packed with eye-brightening spinach, antioxidant-rich watercress, skin brightening and repairing parsley, ultra-nutritious avocados, and skin-smoothing pears, its creamy consistency fills me up for hours, and it’s a great substitute for a full breakfast when you’re pressed for time. Make a glass for yourself today – your skin (and health) will be saying 'thank you'

Ingredients:

4 ice cubes
1 handful of spinach, which is full of iron, potassium and lutein, which will bring that sparkle back to your skin and eyes
1 handful of watercress, a powerhouse antioxidant with more iron than spinach and calcium than milk
1 handful of parsley, a superfood with tons of vitamin C, beta carotene which repairs skin cells, and chlorophyll and vitamin K for depuffing and erasing under eye circles
½ ripe avocado, which adds a delicious creamy texture and a ton of nutrients
1 pear, to add a little natural sweetness
1 lime, to alkalize your body

Blend, and serve chilled and with ice

Our skin is sensitive but even though our skin reacts to the weather, pollution and to the foods that we eat. We can still manage to take care of our skin. We can prepare some foods like vegetable soup or we can prepare this drink, we just need to follow the steps and make a smoothie that will refresh our skin and will give us that younger look that we desire. Life is just a matter of choices and we can achieve it if we are dedicated in our work. Let us cheers and drink this smoothie.
